Title: 05/21/22Here is the video of the full piece! The lift section is rough as it was their first day doing it. Cleaning and fixes are in the works!Link:
Difference in solos one was up and was down and different emotions
More texture maybe or contrast
Pretty… do you want pretty?
you've got a strong framework going! as you're cleaning and watching them run it, I would pay attention to moments when you can really exaggerate the dynamics of the movement itself as well as each person's moments with audrey- while i can see the progress that's been made with distinguishing the characters a little more, keep your eyes on how exactly you can find those differences and accents! especially for audrey's solo- really find ways to emphasize the edges of the movements, like making that little chug her and tat do even heavier, her little flex foot pelvis drop on the music even more drastic like a punch in the gut, the sharp elbow reaches even sharper (like almost fully stopping and starting again), etc. using breath will help with this! especially because eros seems to be the most distinguished of the characters, finding those edges for the others and the softness with her will make it all the more impactful. really finding the gusto in all the contact between them- like really giving and receiving weight- will also really bring this to the next level! some of the pushes still feel hesitant. also check the heads for the ending group section- when to release, where to look, what the initiation point is-- excited to see this get pushed to performance level!
You have a very powerful ending. Maybe just have Audrey lift her chin was she excites to really show that she won! Overall, this piece has a clear story and I really enjoy all the interactions between the dancers. Keep encouraging that and this will be a very powerful opening!
