Simply stunning all the way around! There's a wonderful sense of movement/editing choreography. You truly used the camera and editing as your medium for the choreographic storytelling. Your camera work was so smooth when you traveled around Whitney, which circling her as well as the closeups really worked, heightening your intension. The sunlight on the floor, striking...I mean, that effect must have cost you a fortune! 😉
Whitney was so lovely to watch. I can clearly see the work that you and she put into rehearsing and cleaning the material since the beginning . The costume was stunning - including the face covering. I am glad that you went for it after all. Great choice.
The only thing I would say for next time is to keep a mindful eye on what exists behind your subject (the dancer). Your viewer's eye may shift to things like the exit sign or the clock or the door behind the dancer and they loose where their focus should go. In other words, pick locations and backdrops that enhance or clarify the subject's (the dancer) story or intention.
Can you photography Whitney this week? Look at some of your favorite moments in the footage and recapture it in a photo if you can.
