Keeping You Dancing Virtually
1. As you mentioned, the movement needs to be drilled and well rehearsed, stretching each reach and leg extension as far outward as physically possible and delivering a sense of oppositional pull from hand through to the opposite foot, for example. As well, if you add to the quality tone of 'fall and recovery' with all of the movement, this will take the movement off balance and stretch it out, giving a sense of risk and in turn, a sense of interest to the viewer.
2. Work to bring Whitney to Tatianna's performance level so they are equally strong. It's about letting go and taking a journey to that place where she honestly reveals and becomes that element of depression in this imaginary single person.
I like your idea, thoughts on filming, the music (!!!), and I am excited to see where you go with this. Keep it up.
Hey Bri! Beautiful piece so far! I can already see the contrast between depression and anxiety in your dancers and the movement themselves. I agree that you should work with close ups and low angles for filming, that will definitely add to the piece. A suggestion for Whitney's floor part is to film with the camera on the ground, I feel that would be a beautiful shot! Great job so far!
