Hey Taylor, I only have one thing to say,
- I would really work on the different words for each dancer so we can kind of see or distinguish they're "roles" better. They all kind of look similar but I know that the aren't per say. Just try to find a way to make they different so we can understand what your story is trying to project. The dance is really beautiful so far !!!
Hey Taylor, I don't have too much to say since i am in the piece and we've spoken personally but. I will say that the dancers should practice their words more by doing some things like across the floor. also no noodle arms:)))))
I agree that the Tat/Audrey moment was the most memorable of what was shown & I think that keeping it but having it be the last one in the series may make it more striking and prevent the other moments from being lost as it will have a more gradual build. As mentioned I also think the moments of connection would also be more impactful if you played around with other forms of affection like hands, eyes, genuine interaction, etc besides the hugging. & also I would love to see you play with time more in those phrases! they move along really quickly and I think having either individuals or the full group eat more time (like those head rolls/roll ups/sustained arm whooshes) make it more exciting when things fly by. also can be an idea if you choose to reuse and repeat phrases, it's a very easy way to make it ~spicy~
Taylor,
This is a lot of material for the first showings! Great job! There was an moment between Tat and Audrey that was very effective in the improv from showings, look at that and see how you can set it. Also, for phrase one, I'm curious to see how that would look as a cannon? Not sure what formation you may have in mind but I feel the movement could work very well as a cannon.
