Hey LJ, this is a beautiful piece! I forgot if you mentioned a filming location but I'm definitely excited to see the final piece. Don't forget to play around with editing!
Hey LJ, GREAT WORK! I dont know if it was just my end but the video was very blurry. BUt from what I can gather the movements flow into each other very well. From my observation there is alot of repetition you can play with that with things such as cannons, ripples, or even it become a accumalation movement. Find different ways to play with it. There was a moment towards the end where the dancers broke off into duets or four people dancing you can break it up into solos that add on.
Nice Job! I am seeing a movement story with a beginning, middle, and end. Brava!!!
I see the camera operator moving and filming in and around the dancers, mostly circling around the soloist – so the viewer sees her from all angles (360*) while in the midst of that, we also see the other dancers. I see face and limb shots of everyone, slightly obscured.
I don’t see too many edits, but crafty slow-ish swipes of the camera from view to view. I see simple and slow dissolve transitions within the edits. A slightly hazy, smoky, or discolored filter could be effective, too.
The music is legato and drawn out with a few rhythmic shifts. If you can imitate the music in the way that you shoot and edit, that could give the work a nice sense of cohesion.
